The first building of the museum was erected in 1934. A new wing is being under construction since 1990.

The museum contains three main collections of sculpture, pottery and architectural members.

Sanctuary dedicated to the Dioskouri

  It was my best holidays in Thassos in Skala Potamia Beach and Golden Beach paradise in Thassos. Thanks Gregory in Blue Sea hotel, a great position beside the sandy beach of Skala Potamia in thassos. Thanks for all, it was a wonderful time..

  What a beautiful paradise beach is Saliara between Limenas and Skala Potamia !! I saw saliara beach in this site, it was very attractive and went to meet it. When I arrived into the beach it was a marvellous feeling, all the environment is unique, the blue sea, the beach bar with the umbrellas, the peacefulness someting I met first time. Thanks and I suggest this beach to all. The only think go there by jeep ot mountain rental cars.

  I raelly wish there were more places and beaches like Saliara beach in Thassos on the web.

  We have just arrived in Thassos and we stay in Cristine apartments in Potos Village. It is very nice and the weather is sunny and hot. All the hole area of potos and our accommodation is ideally. There aremany good sand beaches around and the sea is the best we have ever swim. We are happy because we chose the best summer destination for our holidays in Greece. More in 10 days...
